Skincare Morning Routine

If there is one thing I frequently speak about it’s skincare.  My clients, my friends, and my family hear me discuss topics on skincare all the time from face washes to moisturizers.  So for this blog post I decided to fill all of you in on my morning routine and how I care for my skin.  I can’t stress enough how important it is to get on some type of daily skincare regimen AND making it part of your morning routine.  If there is one time of the day that you should invest a few minutes on your skin it’s the morning.

By cleansing your face with a good face wash and treating it with a facial moisturizer and eye cream – you are nourishing it.  We all have hectic lives, but I sure don’t want to look tired and washed out!  That’s why I decided to write about this because in 3 steps you can get your skin right on track!

Finding a face wash that is effective is difficult.  I know because I’ve tried so many on the market and have been disappointed several times.  I am going to make this easy for you so you don’t have to go through the hassle that I have gone through in search of finding one that will not dry out my skin, remove the impurities from my skin and leave it feeling clean.

These are my top 3 face washes and the reason why I love them so much is because they all aid in cleansing the face while putting back the ceramides on the face acting like a barrier for your skin.  Dry, irritated and sensitive skin lack ceramides.  Now you are probably asking yourself “What are ceramides?”  Well, ceramides protect against moisture loss to keep your skin youthful and supple.   That is why it is imperative to find a good face wash.

La Roche Posay Toleriane Foaming Face Wash is excellent for sensitive skin.  This was my very first high end facial cleanser that I tried many years ago.  At one time, La Roche Posay was exclusively sold in doctors office but now they have branched out to drugstores such as CVS.  All you need is a small amount the size of a dime, a drop of water and it will produce a foam that will glide on your skin.  It also contains glycerin which is great for added hydration.  Your skin will be left squeaky clean with out being dried out!

Cerave Foaming Facial Cleanser can be found in drugstores as well.  One pump of this facial cleanser will balance and replenish your skin while removing dirt and oil.  It is a very gentle face wash that does not irritate the skin.

IS Clinical Warming Honey Cleanser contains extracts such as papaya, green tea and natural honey.  It produces a gentle warming sensation on the face when cleansing.  Its luxurious texture will deep clean your skin and minimize your pores without over drying it.

Next all you need are two skincare products that are good enough even for those of you who do not wear makeup!  A facial moisturizer and an eye cream that will replenish your skin and leave your eye area refreshed!

The Reparative Moisturizer by IS Clinical contains Extremozyme which helps prevent DNA damage on the skin.  It is an excellent moisturizer because it is not greasy but has an ultra rich creamy consistency that will hydrate your skin while leaving it smooth!  What I love most about this versatile moisturizer is that it acts as a really great base for your makeup application.

Youth Eye Complex by IS Clinical will smooth and hydrate your eyes while reducing puffiness and dark circles because it is packed with powerful peptides and antioxidants that will regenerate your skin.
