Get Glowing …

It happens to all of us.  We find ourselves looking in the mirror and suddenly our skin looks aged, tired, dull and/or lifeless!  Saying to yourself “What happened?” or “How did I get here?”.  Stressed from work, lack of sleep, or just everyday situations that leave us exhausted and careless when it comes to our skincare routine.

At times, I look in the mirror and wonder where my 20’s went, and although I implemented a good skincare regimen at a young age, I see the difference in my skin now that I am in my 30’s.  And before I know it (hopefully not to fast) I will be in my 40’s.  But, before I go that far lol I want to take some time today to discuss some important tips about skincare.  So, if you are reading this and you are in your 20’s without a skincare regimen this will benefit you for the rest of your 20’s but especially into your 30’s.  For the ladies reading this that are in their 30’s-40’s and in need of a boost for your skin these tips will get you right on track.  And for my 50+ women there is no better time to start than now!

Here are my two skincare tips this week that will get your skin glowing:

Skincare Tip #1:  Apply a facial serum every day.  Facial serums penetrate deep into the layers of the skin where creams can’t go.  Feeding your skin with antioxidants, nutrients and rejuvenating it!  Come on!  Who doesn’t want that?  It doesn’t matter what age you are because any age benefits from this.

My love affair with facial serums began in my early 20’s when I first started working with one of NY’s finest plastic surgeons, Dr. Mauro C. Romita His unsurpassable knowledge about the human face brought me to a whole other level when it came to makeup and skin.  That was when I was first introduced to IS Clinical and have not turned back since.  I started with Pro Heal Serum for my AM routine which contains Vitamins A, C, E and Olive Oil.  My skin was glowing and still does every single time I use it!!  It rids my skin of all the toxins in the air that it impurifies it every day.

And nowadays for my PM Routine I can’t live without their PolyVitamin SerumThe benefits from this one serum is unbelievable.  Here’s why:  It contains Vitamins A, B5, B3, Lactic Acid and 40% of it is Hyaluronic Acid.  Seriously!  All that in one serum!  Regenerating the cells within my skin, while helping to keep it firm and bright!

There are so many great products on the market today, and yes it can get very overwhelming and confusing.  If you don’t know who to turn to then you are in the right place with me!   Otherwise, go to someone in the medical field that practices good skin care that you feel comfortable with – whether it’s a physician or an aesthetician.    And when I mean good skin care – I mean some one that loves this aspect not just to sell you a product because they HAVE to sell it.

Skincare Tip #2:  Protect your skin.  Now that I discussed treating your skin – you have to follow with protection.  A moisturizer with an SPF in it is great!  Because it gives you the moisture with the protection in one step.  I usually advise my clients that they can manage this in two ways.  You can use a light moisturizer such as Anthelios SX by La Roche Posay which contains SPF 15 and then follow with a CC Cream that contains a high SPF such as IT Cosmetics’ Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ which will give you great coverage.   Although I am not a huge fan of tinted moisturizers because I feel that they really don’t give enough moisture to the skin I am going to recommend Anthelios 50 Mineral Tinted Ultra Light Screen Fluid because it really is a great product.  It will give you the moisture, with minimal coverage plus a high protection and fight against harmful UVA/UVB rays.

Why LaRoche Posay?  I was introduced to LaRoche Posay years ago when it was solely being sold in doctor’s offices.  It’s one of those companies that offers incredible medical background with their skincare products and the best part is they actually work very well!  Now you can purchase them at your local CVS.

Don’t wish that you could go back and redo your skincare regimen!  Start today!  Make a difference for the future of your skin.

Ild love to hear your thoughts.
